Check out this great video by Sarah Gates
CDA is the largest town in the Idaho Panhandle, and you can find anything you need here. Bike shops, grocery stores, hotels, camping, etc.
The second “Town” along the route consists of nothing more than a small store/gas station/post office type thing called the G & G Riverstop. These folks are super! They have a well stocked store catering towards to camping and off road crowd, a food truck outside, and a nice place to sit in the shade. Limited hours listed as 8am to 8pm everyday.

Wallace is one of my favorite towns in the Panhandle. Oodles of history here, and it shows in the architecture, and quirky nature of the community. Check out some mining artifacts, take a mine tour, stay at an old Brothel, and revel in the town that calls itself “The Center Of The Universe”

Avery sits along the St. Joe River, and is a delightful little community. Stress “little”. There’s not much here, but the Avery Store and Motel (www.averystoreandmotel.com )is very well stocked, and the owners are Rad! Limited hours of operation listed as 7am-7pm Sunday -thursday, and 8am-8pm Friday and Saturday.
